Move your watchlist, watched movie and episode states, and Continue Watching positions into Nuvio without connecting your Trakt account.
Choose your Trakt export
Select the original ZIP from Trakt. The importer reads it locally and deduplicates repeated plays into Nuvio’s watched-state model. A ZIP is not required if you only want to repair existing Nuvio artwork.
Other records retained in the original ZIP
0 personal ratings and 0 personal/managed lists cannot be represented by Nuvio Sync’s current local schema. They remain in your source ZIP and are documented in the audit.
Resolve artwork and exact resume times
Trakt exports playback as a percentage, while Nuvio Sync stores milliseconds. The lookup converts each percentage using the title or episode runtime and fills watchlist artwork.
Metadata fallback order
1. TMDB, recommended: posters, backgrounds, metadata, and runtime using your own read token. 2. Cinemeta: metadata/runtime fallback. MetaHub artwork returned by Cinemeta is intentionally rejected, so Cinemeta-only mode can leave some posters blank. 3. Manual runtime: only when neither provider can resolve runtime.

Sign in to Nuvio Sync
This uses Nuvio’s own TV sign-in flow. Your access token stays in this tab and is cleared when you close it. You can sign in without choosing a Trakt ZIP when using artwork repair only.
Read your Nuvio data and choose what happens
The importer reads the selected Nuvio profile first so it can show exactly how each strategy would change it. A backup is required before any write.
How should the Trakt import merge with Nuvio?
Choose the behavior that matches how you use the two services. The projected changes update instantly.
Fix Nuvio posters without importing Trakt
Refreshes poster and background URLs for compatible items already in your Nuvio Library using TMDB. It does not change Library membership, watched status, Continue Watching, or timestamps.
Apply and verify
The importer applies only the selected strategy, then reads Nuvio Sync back and verifies the resulting keys. Destructive strategies require an additional typed confirmation.
Import verified
- Close and reopen NuvioTV on your device.
- Confirm the Library source and Watch Progress source are set to Nuvio/Local, not Trakt.
- Run Sync now if the rows do not refresh immediately.
